From Biscuit Factory to Export Trader: The World is Full of Opportunities
Early years of business were a long period of struggle for Mr. Fajle Mallick. He owned a biscuit company that, even after a lot of hard work, did not pay as much profit as he expected. Along with that, the company also faced huge dysfunction of labor which further lead to the decline of the brand and an unhappy proprietor.
Things took a turn for the good when Mr. Mallick decided to get into the export business in 2015 and started exporting products like Ladies’ suits, Bed-Sheets and pillow covers that they manufacture in Kolkata and some agro products like Rice, Almonds and peanuts which are sourced from various places in India. He also began his own manufacturing and trading of all the products that he is now exporting. Mr. Mallick feels that he is more independent than ever. The business has grown a lot since it first started and he feels that things are finally going in the right direction.
On being asked about some of his achievements that he would like to share with us, he said,
“The business is going great now more than ever. I have more than 20 lakh orders at present and they’re keeping me very busy.”
He is currently exporting most of his products to the Middle Eastern market and countries like Bahrain, Singapore and Nigeria are his major trade partners. He aspires to expand his business to western parts of the world as well while continuing to deal in Indian markets of cities like Delhi, Kanpur, Kolkata and Ahmadabad.
