Business Side is Up for the Rice Milling Industry in India
Subham Rice Mill Pvt Ltd was founded in 2004 by Mr Sanjib Agarwala and Mr Rajib Agarwala. The Agarwala family has an experience of over 35 years in the rice milling industry and understand the nuances of producing high-quality rice. The company soon positioned itself as the leader in the industry with its high-quality product offerings and unmatched reputation.
This family-run business is now being taken forward by the young and ambitious, Subham Agarwala who post-graduated last year from London Business School and decided to take charge of affairs at Subham Group.
“We are industry leaders in the rice milling business with a strong domestic presence in Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal and Jharkhand. Our international export destinations for rice include Nepal and Bangladesh. The rice milling industry is growing at a fast rate and we are now planning to expand our global business into the Middle East and Africa.” says Subham.
One can choose to order a variety of rice in bulk ranging from Gobindobhog Rice, Laghu Rice, Millet Rice to broken rice, rice bran and even rice husk ash.
Seeing an upward growth in the market, Subham has business plans to diversify into other commodities such as Wheat etc. in the immediate future.
“This industry is buoyant, and the Government should boost our confidence by offering us more incentives to expand locally as well as globally. Our uncompromising efforts on maintaining the product quality and transparent payment terms give us an edge over others in the market. However, we need more export credit availability both pre and post to diversify and deal in larger quantities.” shares the young entrepreneur.
Rice is one of the most sort after food grain in Indian agriculture. The monsoon and the terrain across the regions of North India, East India and South India supports the rice cultivation of various grades and qualities.
